Min Yi just woke up from her noon time nap. It was a long one this time, but... when I went up she'd been awake for a while because she had turned around in her bed and was lying on her belly looking at me coming in! This was a first. Over the past days she's been rolling over all the time, slowly getting better at it, but so far she's never managed to really roll over in bed, usually getting stuck against one of the sides.

Obviously, there's more to Min Yi than just rolling over. Since April, she:

  • has, as I mentioned, started to roll over. She doesn't really roll back yet. Done it about three times, but those were accidents.
  • has been to Belgium three times, ILLEGALLY :-) So far, we've not taken the time yet to get her a passport. Fortunately, the border to Belgium is... well... NOT... really. It isn't, and a breeze to cross.
  • likes to observe the world. She's quite happy looking around and seeing what other people do.
  • loves to sleep (this is only a very recent development). We now put her in bed, and she plays a bit with her bed toy and falls asleep very easily. When she wakes up, she usually plays for a while (ie. looks at her hands).
  • goes crazy when you repeatedly kiss her on the cheeks. She'll laugh and scream and cannot stand it :-)
  • thinks the bath is ok, and we've een caught her smiling in it.
  • loves books. Well, looking at them, that is. A quick tour of the bookshelves usually makes her happy.
  • has come along for Dim Sum. Again, she politly refused, but was very excited. She didn't really want to sleep in the restaurant.
  • Is pretty chatty. Obligatory ooohs and aaaahs, and of course daddy is very happy that he's heard her practise the Dutch gutteral sound already ;-)
There's so much more! But hey, it's our kid and not yours, so this will have to do :-)

Today, the weather is excellent. Time for a slow walk.

再见!
