I'm very tired indeed. This was one of those nights that I needed to do something completely different just to refresh my mind. Well, I may have gone a bit too far because it's almost 02:45 now, but I definitely feel refreshed mentally!
What did I do? A careful observer will already have noticed the extra Chinese characters here and there. I've added Chinese translations to the menu on the right. A very painful process I must say :-) The names of my two ladies were easy -of course- but the other items were quite hard. They are all terms that you can't find in any regular dictionary. "home" as in anything other than the place you live? Forget about it!
Now, websites with computer terms in Chinese are easy to find, but they (the ones I found) all give terms in
traditional Chinese!
Simplified is what I'm after, since that's what I'm learning as well, and this exercise might as well be useful. So, I basically looked up the term, tried to guess the
radical, then looked up the character in our own (Chinese-Chinese) dictionary. This one has traditional and simplified side by side, as well as pinyin. And finally, I used the pinyin to add the characters to the website.
Kind of a detour, but worth the effort!
