X-ray of a hip, not Min Yi's

... and I'm not even talking about the past three days. No, I'm talking about the days to come.

The days to come (more precisely: three days and four nights) will be painful. Painful for Min Yi, because her legs are now almost completely spread and she needs to be out of traction twice a day (for her skin, I'll explain later). Going back in traction is now painful for her, even with the (mild) painkiller that she gets. I have no words for what it feels like to see her in such discomfort. I just wish that I will never ever have to see this again.

Fortunately, this is almost over. The results of the X-ray were positive; she's "on schedule" and will get her cast on Thursday (the fourth of August). Tomorrow they will sample four types of cast on her arm. Based on the reaction of her skin they will choose the type of cast. The skin on her legs has gotten a lot better of the past two days. We now use a new cream, and apply it twice daily. This, obviously, is why she needs to come out of traction twice a day.

I've got nothing much to add. Just looking forward to this coming Thursday.
