Today has been a very long and tiring day for all of us. Min Yi had completed traction and was allowed out early this morning. She went for closed reduction and a CT scan afterwards. We spent most of the afternoon waiting for the results of the CT scan. Would the operation have been succesful or not?

But first, the (long overdue) quick fact check. Min Yi:

  • likes daddy to quack like a duck. This makes her laugh and laugh and laugh...
  • lost about 300 grams over the last week and a half. Not very good, but not a big concern either.
  • understands Mandarin already: mommy says "笑一笑" (come on smile), and... she smiles ;-) Dad needs to watch out and study harder
  • is SOOO curious. She even went into general anesthtic thinking "oh, that's an interesting mask they're putting on my face... let's study that in more details right noooowwwwwzzzzzzzz.
  • has become very handy. Compensating for lack of leg movement or something.

Ok, I've run out of witticisms for the moment :-) I'm tired. I was also going to write about our day in more detail, but on second thought I think I'll just go to bed. It's going to be another long day tomorrow.

I should really write that the results of the scan did come in. We spoke to the doctor around 17.00, and he told us that from the scan he was not able to tell whether the closed reduction had been a success or not. So tomorrow morning another X-ray and another talk with the doctor.

I uploaded a few new pictures:

Well 晚安 all, good night. I'm off to sleep.
