Children have enormous amounts of energy, that they use to... well... do all sorts of energic things, right? Parents, on the other hand, just don't have that much energy anymore and generally get tired before their kids do. How many parents let their children watch television for hours in the weekends, so they can sleep in (right ;-) ) because they're simply too tired? Wouldn't it be a lot better if kids were born with less energy to begin with? And they would get more and more energy the older they got? That way, parents would have no problem at all keeping up with their children!
Take alcohol. When you're young, your body can cope with enormous amounts of alcohol. Drank too much? Just sleep it off and you're good to go the next day. This is great, except that young people in general don't have a lot of self-control (warning: old news, but I just want to prove my point). As you get older, it becomes harder to recover from too much alcohol. You never knew hangovers could live to be two days old right? Wouldn't it be smarter if you were born with a lower alcohol-tolerance? By necessity, you would learn to control your drinking and you would enjoy it a lot more as you got older!
With the above in mind, how can anyone claim that there is such a thing as "intelligent design". Design... perhaps. But intelligent, no way! Or does the thought of an omni-impotent God offend people?
Design of another calibre: Min Yi's birth card. I have finally written something about it.
