Today I wasn't home during the day, as I helped a friend of mine with some pre-moving house-demolishing, a very satisfying activity if I may say so.
I always love to come home after I haven't seen Min Yi for a whole day. I'm happy to see her and she's happy to see me! Not that I would know much about it though. It simply hasn't happened very often that I've been away for a full day, because up to now I've enjoyed my "sababbical".
I've only started doing volunteer work one day a week a few months ago and I've been away the occasional full day. This coming Monday it will be for real though: back to work! And with a customer appointment on the first day, things will be moving right away.
Meanwhile, life goes on for Min Yi. She's exploring the world in her own, currently limited, way. It basically means grabbing anything within reach and if possible putting it in her mouth. She's quite capable of keeping herself busy with some toys, although there are days that she prefers to stick with us.
A few weeks ago she went through a period of grunting, which was really funny. I suppose she's satisfied that she mastered the skill (and can probably put it to good use once she hits puberty) because I don't really hear her grunt anymore.
And of course... food! Lovely, delightful, never-to-be-gotten-enough-of rice!
Also, I put together a small page with a few pictures of Min Yi in a car seat that she fits in, which may be useful to some people.
